ABOUT MAD DUCKZ

Mad Duckz was founded by Matt Knight, a lifelong outdoorsman born and raised in Cheraw, South Carolina.

Hunting has been part of Matt’s life for as long as he can remember. He grew up chasing wood ducks through the swamps of the Carolinas, and today some of his favorite hunts take him to the flooded timber of Arkansas for mallards and the coast of South Texas for redheads.

Matt is also a father of four — Carson, 17, Zoenaa, 12, Zaydyn, 8, and Zaryah, 5 — and the owner of several outdoor businesses. Building products for outdoorsmen isn’t something he stumbled into. It comes from a lifetime spent hunting, fishing, and using the same gear his customers depend on.

The idea for Mad Duckz came from a simple problem Matt had dealt with for years: keeping his gear dry.

He had tried other bags and equipment marketed for wet hunting conditions, but when they were truly put to the test, his gear still ended up wet. Water-resistant wasn’t enough. Water-repellent wasn’t enough.

He wanted WATERPROOF.

So instead of continuing to search for something better, Matt decided to build it.

Mad Duckz was created around one purpose: developing tough, dependable waterproof hunting bags made for hunters who don't get to choose the conditions. From flooded timber and swamps to boats, blinds, rain and mud, Mad Duckz gear is built for the places waterfowl hunters actually hunt.

We don't call something waterproof because it sounds good on a tag. We build our gear around the reason this company exists in the first place:
